Only five of the franchise's restaurants remain open in New Jersey, according to the Roy Rogers website.

Named after the singing cowboy actor, the Roy Rogers restaurant first opened in Virginia in 1968. The Franklin location came to Route 23 in 2015.

The menu boasts burgers, roast beef sliders, an array of grilled and fried chicken options, breakfast platters, several sides and more.

The national chain could be most well-known for its fix-ins bar, that features dozens of endless condiments.

No word yet on what will be replacing the restaurant.
